Jocque Concepts LLC is a management company for restaurants and real estate investment properties based in Arizona and California.
The Financial Controller will oversee and enhance the organization's financial performance and accounting operations. This role is responsible for managing accounting records, evaluating and managing risk, ensuring regulatory compliance, publishing financial statements, overseeing accounting operations, analyzing financial data, monitoring expenditures, forecasting revenue, coordinating auditing processes, and ensuring the accuracy of financial information. The successful candidate will be results-oriented and possess strong financial management skills.
Pay Range: $90k - $125K, depending on education, certifications, and experience
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Record all sales and payables into QuickBooks,
Import and manually input data into QuickBooks,
Reconcile bank accounts,
File and pay monthly sales taxes,
Send bi-weekly accounts payable reports to CEO,
Remit weekly payments to vendors
Prepare journal entries and monthly account reconciliations
Reviewing ledger accounts monthly prior to closing
Renewing insurance policies annually
General liability and workman’s comp audits
Credit card transaction entries and reconciliations,
Record journal entries for intercompany transactions,
Audit invoice coding,
Support CEO in all financial matters of the organization, including generation of ad hoc reports, requests, and financial analysis.
Ideal Candidate:
Expert with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
Experience in restaurant or hospitality industry preferred but not required
Working knowledge of POS software required, Toast and RPower preferred
Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals
Detail oriented and thorough with all procedures
Strong organizational skills
Proficient with technology
Familiar with Google Drive and related applications
Adaptable to new procedures and is a quick learner
Reliable, consistent, and committed

Excels in multi-tasking and task prioritization to ensure workload is maintained

Requirements:
Minimum of 4+ years as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or similar position
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field is required.
Proven experience in finance management.
Minimum of 3+ years QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online experience
Proficient computer skills, specifically with Microsoft 365 and Google Drive
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to take complex concepts and communicate succinctly and accurately
License/Certification:
CPA (Preferred but not required)

This is a full-time, in office position, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, located in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale. Partial remote/flex hours may be considered.
